Crispy Tofu Bowl
INGREDIENTS
Saucy Dipz of your choice
400g Pack of firm tofu
Potato starch
Chili powder
Paprika powder
Avocado oil
Salt
HOW TO MAKE
Drain tofu, squeeze out the moisture as much as possible, and cut into 1 inch cubes.
Mix starch, chill, paprika and salt together in a small dish, and roll tofu pieces in it, making sure to cover all sides of each cube.
Heat a small pan with approx 1.5 inches of avocado oil. Bring to simmer, and turn heat down, then drop in one piece of tofu. If it immediately sizzles gently, add five or six more pieces in, allowing room to turn them easily after about 4 minutes. Cook for a total of 6-7 minutes, until they start to go brown.
Place onto a paper bowl, and repeat with the remaining pieces until all are cooked.
Serves 2-3
SERVING SUGGESTION FOR CRISPY TOFU BOWLS
For our bowls, we made quinoa, sliced tomatoes, edamame beans, red onion, thinly sliced some raw carrot, and bought some broccoli shoots. Some toasted sesame seeds were included too.
And of course, pour on a rather generous amount of Saucy Dipz!
